Evaluation on Life

I still don't have a New Year's Resolution! Still thinking but doing more evaluation on the things I do or don't do. It's helped me to clear out the cobwebs in my brain and heart, plus get a little bit more organized.

I have been going to church on Sunday nights where they have been doing a series taken from the book "One Month to Live" and what really matters in our lives. Amazing study and definitely very thought provoking. I have some homework to do this week....just ONE phone call to someone I feel doesn't like me at all, but I need to call and take that first step. I need to give an "I" message and not attack. Would you pray with me on this matter? I don't know where to even begin....

Today I'm teaching Kindergarten, in the same classroom that I used to be the Instructional Asst. five/six years ago. I taught yesterday in 3rd/4th grade and knew that my heart was at peace as I was with those kiddos. I couldn't keep the smile off my face and stop giggling to myself ! I love knowing that teaching is my calling and I can't wait to get my own classroom again!

Time to get moving.....I've had my cup of coffee, did my meds (thank you to those who check in on me!) and now it's time to iron those khaki pants & finish the preparations for the day.

Blessings to you, everyone!

It's good for me to read of your decision to make that phone call. I've been struggling with something similar, only in my family. Last night, my daughter and I were talking about stubborn hearts and how Jesus can change us and it hit me right between the eyes...I've been feeding that stubborn, angry heart of mine! And now I need to call the person that's making me crazy and make peace. Reading your blog this morning was another nudge. "OKAY, God, I got the message and I'll do it...don't want to be a Jonah."

Hope your kindergarten day is great! One of the hardest subbing jobs I ever had was a kindergarten P.E. in a gymnasium. They just wanted to run and scream! I just wanted to run screaming out the door!

I'm praying with you...one phone call; we can do one phone call, for heaven sake!

You sound like a very loving/caring teacher. I can only hope my children get subs as good as you.

Hope your day went well.

Bless you, Kerri! Thanks for sharing your heart with me yesterday. I hope your dinner and worship night were fabulous! I will pray for you to have courage and honesty to make that phone call. Wow - I was thinking I might want to read that book... hmmmm, thinking about that one! Peace to you my friend...

I hope your phone call is well received. Forgiveness is a decision we can make by ourselves even if the other party doesn't respond in kind but restoration is a two way street. You can do your part but the other person must do their part, too. Don't feel defeated if it isn't well received because you did your part of the equation.

You are so fortunate to have found something that you are passionate about. And our schools and children are lucky to have a teacher like you! Those type of phone calls are always difficult but a lot of times necessary. My thoughts and prayers are with you on this one.

BTW, I've got an award for you. Wasn't sure if you had this one yet.
