This morning I am feeling very grumpy! I have a cup of Starbucks Christmas Blend (in fact, there's a whole pot waiting for friends to pour their own cup today....yummies are in the fridge. Keep the puppies out of the fridge, though. They're sneaky!) but to be truthful, the coffee is not doing its usual thing of saying "Good Morning" to me.
Girlfriends, I need you today! I have to call my dr this morning and figure out what the game plan is for my foot. They don't open til 8:45, though!
Here's my list for today: (and it's hard to do a Gratitude List when you're feeling like an Eeyore!) Share with me your list, too!!
1. pretty toes
2. laughter with the puppies -- this peanut butter jar was good to the last lick! (no, he's not stuck in the jar, either!)
3. spending time with over 143 kiddos in four days! I love teaching and being a positive influence in their lives
4. continued health care with another great doctor and her wisdom
5. encouragement from friends all around in growing as a person (I AM a Princess!) and a teacher
I just received this "Thought for Today" from Tawni (No More Excuses!) and she blessed the socks right off of me today. She must have heard my heart's cry about disappointments and frustrations! Let me share: "So, My CHALLENGE to all of you is to knock that chip off your shoulder and don't worry about what other people are doing or how far along they are on 'their' journey.Get busy on your OWN journey. CONSISTENT baby steps!I'm proud of all of you for stepping up to the plate and giving it your best in WHATEVER it is that you choose to do."
Ok, waiting patiently for the dr's office to open in one hour and 36 minutes! Putting my Big Girl Panties and dealing with life with a gratitude attitude. How about you?
ps It's snowing out!!

Are those your toes? Nice polish. I don't like my nails polished, but I do love some red toenails. My mom told me when I was growing up that toenails should always be polished. I hope those toes will help you be more cheery! Good luck at the doctor!
I think your lovely toes have just inspired me to paint mine! I've been leaving them be for the whole winter, and I think it's time to color them again. :)
Thank you for the morning devotional. Love the toes. During the winter I can't slip my feet out of my warm fuzzy slippers. The pedicure will have to wait till spring. Good luck at the doctors.
Aw, I hope you find some beautiful flowers at Safeway today!!! Snow is not really an issue here. We did have some sleet several weeks ago that I told the kids was snow... that's about as close as we get. I need to go paint my toes now...
Cute toes! I hope you've heard from the dr. by now!!
I got as far as shaving my legs....the toes will have to wait. They aren't TOO bad right now, but could use some attention.
I've got nothing nearly as cute as the puppy in the peanut butter to cheer me up. I felt crabby the other day and could have used some puppy antics to cheer me up. I made cookies instead. (and ate them)
I'm grumpy today too!! I almost didn't write a Company Girls post, but then changed my mind last minute.
Thanks for the moral support (knowing someone else has a grumpy day too) and being reminded to look on the upside and look for things to be grateful for. It was a good pick-me-up. :)
I hope your beautiful toes brighten your day. Thanks for having us over - my daughter works at Starbucks, so I always have a pound of their coffee sitting around. It's a perfect way to start a weekend!
Love the toenails! Maybe I'll paint mine and my little girls red. :) Kill two birds with one stone.
Yay for #3. I miss working with the kiddos even though I wouldn't trade it in for staying at home with my daughter. Have a great weekend!
Hope you were able to get in with your doctor...there's nothing worse than having to wait for the weekend to go by! I'm with the other gal....I have to get around to shaving my legs first!
Puppies are so great for cheering us up aren't they? It's funny how they seem to know when something isn't quite right.
Hope you have a good weekend and you get some good news from the Dr.
