The Cure for the Common Life!

I'm always searching for a cure of some sort, whether it be for multiple sclerosis, "ungroupable" moments, an upset tummy, too much month and empty checkbook or a cold that the kiddos gave me. Another great reminder for me today when I saw this quote on another blog. It's from Max Lucado: "Use your uniqueness (what you do) to make a big deal out of God (why you do it) every day of your life (where you do it)."

Two thoughts: I don't know about you, but I get weary of searching. Can my heart just be content with where I am right now? And, how I can use my uniqueness today and every day?

It is hard to be content with where we are right now in our life. I think we need to just enjoy the present. Or mabey if we just thought about how far we've come in life already instead of constantly thinking where we should be or would like to be, that might help us to be content.

I have not read this book yet. Is it good? I think this is something we all struggle with everyday! I love your blog and that you got to see Jim Brickman! WOW! I love him! My dad was also in the Air Force for the first 15 years of my life!

Just came across yor blog and what an interesting post.
Have you read this book yet? I'm not content with life and I'm always looking/searching for what will make me content in my life. I enjoy Max Lucado books this makes me want to run out and buy it at lunch.

Thanks for sharing.

I looked at the book yesterday at our Christian Supply store but I didn't buy it yet. I knew I had a coupon at home so I'll go back today. I'm anxious to read it and I'll share my thoughts with you after I'm done.

Found your blog through Blog Around The World. Anyone with the same template is definitely worth a comment! The older I get the more I realize that so much in life is out of my control. I try hard to enjoy and be content with each day that I am given and feel blessed when I wake each day healthy!
