Gratitude Friday

Good morning! I'm sitting here with an empty cup of coffee and time to fill it up again. Join me in another cup of coffee, freshly roasted by Mr. York!

Gratitude Friday includes:

1. a wonderful weekend in Walla Walla, WA with Mr. York for our 25th wedding anniversary getaway

2. Five full days of guest teaching this week (YAHOO!)

3. finding a local bakery that makes the best chocolate filled croissants, almost like the ones we got in Bitburg, Germany

4. my friend Robin is home from Alaska for the weekend and we'll have coffee together tomorrow morning

5. being able to help out a neighbor and another friend with furniture and household items that I was blessed to have in my possession but didn't really need. Amazing the amount of stuff I have. It's just STUFF!

What's on your gratitude list today? I have missed hearing from you!

I love your list of Gratitude, sometimes it's great to reflect. I also love a chocolate croissant - and at a local bakery - very tempting!

I am thankful for the hope I have in my Heavenly Father. No matter how we struggle or suffer here, this is NOT my home and there is a greater hope waiting!

I wrote a post along these lines today...in short...that His mercies are new every morning!

Enjoy your weekend...

Great list! Why Walla Walla? Did you stay at one of the fancy old hotels there?

Chocolate croissants...yum! Care to share where for those of us who live in the same town as you?

Glad to hear that you are busy substituting.

Let's get together soon!

It's been great to hear about your guest teaching on FB. Melody had a Nutella croissant this morning. hehe

Congrats on your 25th!!! How wonderful! Oh how I miss the bakeries in Germany. We were stationed in Buedingen for three years.

I am thankful for my family and for blogging...it's so wonderful to be able to be encouraged by others and to be reminded to HAVE gratitude:)

I LOVE Gratitude Fridays!!! (Even when they fall on Saturday...)

My list is as follows:

1. (This one is a little shocking. Bear with me.) Good sports bras. I've been bumping around all week on a 4wheeler, thanking the good Lord for sports bras.

2. Everyone in my household is healthy. Oh, what a blessing!

3. I found some chocolate in the cupboard, last night, when I was looking for soup. And it's DARK!

4. A dishwasher that works, for the first time since May!!!

5. Children that still nap. Bless their little hearts, I need the downtime!

Hope you have the best weekend! It's good to see you back.

I've gotten out of the habit of listing my reasons to be grateful. Thanks for sharing yours. I know that joy and contentment start with gratitude, so thanks for inspiring me to resume the practice.

I had a hard time being grateful this week, had to choose it over the selfishness that wanted to creep in. Had to find the joy...one of those weeks!! But it's amazing how much better things are when I get my eyes off of what I don't have and get them on to what I DO have.

I always love your lists. I'm thinking that if I'd had a chocolate croissant, I would have been much more grateful this week.
