Almost three months new and I keep falling in love with Audrey all over again every time I see her!

I was holding her last night and put her down for a bit. She was so animated trying to sit up that we captured a few of her many looks. The last one makes me laugh!

End of June already?

The last day of school was June 12th & now it's June 29th. Quick two weeks of fun! I'm in empty nest mode, too, but I have two grand babies to love and laugh with as often I can get ahold of them. They live in Yakima (3 hours away) so my car knows its way quite well.

Summer vacation 2013

Quick note as we are driving to Yakima to spend time with our Sweet Tater and Sweet Pea! I'll post pictures ASAP since Sweet Pea (aka Audrey June) is already 15 days old.

Life is good. Bring on summer vacation!!

April showers bring May flowers!

I'm missing the warm weather and sunshine of AZ but I know the warm temps are coming to Spokane one of these days. For now, I'll enjoy the beauty of the flowers and greenness of everything! (And find lots of good books and projects to complete inside until the sunshine makes its daily appearance.)

Spring break in Phoenix

What an amazing week in Phoenix! I traveled down last Friday to stay with my sweet friend Wendy (friends since 8th grade!) and was treated like royalty the entire time. What do great friends do on the spur of the moment!? Go on a road trip to the Grand Canyon!! We started out by stopping to have lunch with Air Force friends Charlie and Dianne Stutts in Kingman. From there, overnight in Williams and then north the next morning. I'm such a Pacific NW gal that I had a tough time getting super excited. But once I saw the canyon and the light hitting the different levels of rock, I was captured in the beauty!

Fun in Hansville!

Have I mentioned lately how much I love this little guy?! We went to Hansville this past weekend, visiting my parents in Hansville, riding the ferry from Edmonds to Kingston and seeing a dear friend in Poulsbo. The weekend zipped by quickly!

Closer to spring!

With the arrival of daylight savings time, we've had a few beautiful days of sunshine. I'm in love with sunshine!

Just nine more days until spring and 17 days until the start of spring break for me. I'm headed to Phoenix for a week.

A sad trip to Seattle

David's brother Roger passed away this week after a battle with cancer for 5 years.We are headed to Seattle for a family memorial service. Roger wanted happy and colorful for his memorial service so I'll be posting happy things later today.
